PBA Chris Paul Celebrity Invitational Bowling Tournament at Lucky Strike Lanes

Kevin Hart, Chris Paul and Jerome Bettis round out the PBA Detroit Winter Swing

The Pro Bowlers Association (PBA) has kicked off an exciting season of sport. Since renewing its partnership with the “Worldwide Leader of Sports”, ESPN, the PBA has exceeded ratings expectations and made national headlines with the airing of this year’s “World Series of Bowling”. The next stop of the Tour is Detroit, with the rolling out of the first ever PBA Players Championship.

The Players Championship, a new idea by the PBA set to debut in Detroit, involves 5-man teams comprised of both celebrity team owners and pro bowlers. Based on the pin totals of each five player team, the top three teams will advance to League Show #4 Baker Stepladder Finals. The teams who finish 4th – 8th will advance to the TV Leaguhttps://bcmmag.wordpress.com/wp-admin/post.php?post=785&action=edite Clash Match, determining the 4th seeded team in the stepladder.

Some of the celebrity team owners include, Jerome Bettis, Chris Paul, Terrell Owens and Kevin Hart.

PBA Commissioner Tom Clark talked with CBS Detroit about the league, the lanes and the upcoming tournament.
