From tee to green, the 2023 Bowling Centers Association of Wisconsin Scholarship Golf Tournament, held June 12 at Indianhead Golf Course in Mosinee, Wis., was a success.
Players enjoyed a fun competition and raffle for prizes, but the ultimate winners will be Wisconsin youth bowlers. Thanks to the participants’ generosity, more than $7,000 was raised after expenses for the BCAW scholarship program.
The BCAW awards five $1,000 scholarships annually based on academic proficiency and citizenship. The remaining balance of about $2,000 will be earmarked for the BCAW scholarship fund for future years.
A total of 33 foursomes hit the links in a scramble format mixed in with side games for donations, such as putting, hole-in-one contests and a cornhole game. Golf was followed by a dinner and raffle at the Central Wisconsin Convention & Expo Center with a variety of prizes awarded.
Dale Elliott, proprietor of Dale’s Weston Lanes, and Jason Resch served as the tournament directors.
