The Bowlers to Veterans Link has partnered with MyndVR to provide virtual reality glasses to veterans’ homes in more than 50 markets, bringing cutting-edge technology to their recreation therapy programming.
Residents at the Tennessee State Veteran Home in Murfreesboro, Tenn., were the latest recipients of the program, which is funded by the bowling community.
The digital health initiative provides a wide range of virtual experiences, from landing on the deck of an aircraft carrier to finding a special location (former home, city of service, etc.) through the virtual lens or occupational therapy.
