MUSEUM WELCOMES ‘FREWING’ RECIPIENTS

The Daroll and Dolores Frewing Scholarship, the richest college scholarship in bowling, is the subject of a new exhibit at the International Bowling Museum and Hall of Fame in Arlington, Texas.

The scholarship was established by the Frewings, the founders of US Bowling Corporation, as a way of giving back to the industry and the bowling proprietors who have helped make their company successful. Valued at $25,000, the scholarship is awarded annually to a high school senior who is the child or grandchild of a BPAA-member center owner.

The exhibit will include photos of scholarship recipients, who hopefully represent the industry’s next generation of leaders, and will be updated annually.

It is scheduled to open in October as part of the museum’s “Bowling Reaches Out” exhibition.
