BACK TO ORLANDO NEXT MONTH FOR IAAPA EXPO

The countdown is on for the 2023 edition of the IAAPA Expo, set for Nov. 13-17 in Orlando, Florida.

The Expo provides an opportunity for newcomers to the attractions industry, as well as seasoned veterans, to expand their knowledge base, grow their networking family and see the latest attractions during a massive trade show at the Orange County Convention Center.

Following a successful IAAPA Expo Europe in Vienna, Austria, the Orlando event comes at a time when a record number of entertainment venues are being built and planned across the United States — many of them utilizing bowling as an anchor attraction.

For newcomers to the industry, IAAPA Rookies FEC 101 provides insights in developing, designing and launching an FEC. Running Nov. 11-13, just prior to the main event, the program includes classroom time, visits to three area attractions (Andretti’s, Dezerland Park and Fun Spot America), two receptions and some meals.

Those arriving early for the Expo have two charity events from which to choose on Nov. 12 — a golf tournament being held for the 20th time and a motorcycle run rolling out for the 13th time. The motorcycle event benefits Give Kids the World. An “EDUTour” to Fun Spot America will run that evening. IAAPA also will be conducting its Institute for Attractions Professionals, Nov. 12-13.

Education takes center stage Nov. 13-16, featuring dozens of topical seminars as well as a two-day Leadership Symposium.

IAAPA’s trade show will run a total of 30 hours over four days (Nov. 14-17), enabling attendees to plan a custom schedule of education and shopping that fits their needs. Then as the Expo nears its close, IAAPA Celebrates will provide a night of mesmerizing marine life, thrilling rides and captivating attractions at SeaWorld on Nov. 16.

Many of IAAPA Expo’s events are ticketed, so those thinking about attending should visit iaapa.org for specific registration, event and education information.
