TRIPLE SHIFT EXPANDS TO 20 CENTERS

Two family names familiar in the Great Lakes bowling region — Spigner and Bussan — are involved in a deal that will see two Bussan-owned bowling centers in the Madison, Wisconsin, area brought under Robby Spigner’s Triple Shift Entertainment umbrella.

Don and Tracy Bussan have operated Bowl-A-Vard Lanes in Madison and Prairie Lanes in Sun Prairie in recent years, part of a family legacy in the business that spans decades. The deal will enable them to monetize their retirement and Triple Shift to expand into a sixth state.

Bowl-A-Vard Lanes is a 40-lane center that features a full slate of bowling leagues, live music on weekends and summer volleyball leagues. Prairie Lanes has 28 lanes and boasts, “Fun times for almost fifty years,” on its website. Each venue has a sports bar, and like any Wisconsin bar worth its salt, includes cheese curds on the menu.

Spigner comes from a bowling family — his mother worked for Brunswick, his father is in the USBC Hall of Fame and his parents collectively owned a center for nearly 20 years — and Triple Shift emphasizes league bowling among its offerings. The acquisition of the two Wisconsin centers will bring the company’s total to 20.
