Friends, family, vendors and long-time customers of Sooner Bowling Center in Norman, Oklahoma, gathered on March 8 to celebrate the center’s 40th year in business.
Alan Haws purchased the center in 1984, and over the years it became an important community gathering place. The Norman Chamber of Commerce recognized that fact and honored the business with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, after which the guests enjoyed refreshments that were catered by Social Butterfly Catering, a division of Sooner Bowling Center.
Mandy Haws has now operated the venue for half of its existence.
