The deadly wildfire that swept through the New Mexico mountain community of Ruidoso devastated the village but spared the 10-lane Ruidoso Bowling Center.
“My home and the bowling center are okay,” proprietor Natalie Cecilsaid wrote in an email that Rio Rancho proprietor Steve Mackie shared with BCM.
Associated Press reported that entire neighborhoods were consumed by the fire, while others were evacuated as a precaution. All of the bowling center’s employees were accounted for, but the center remained without power for several days.
“One day at a time and we will make our way forward,” Cecil added.
