Don MacBrayne, who spent most of his career with Brunswick before co-founding The Summit entertainment centers in Colorado, has passed away. He suffered a stroke after undergoing heart bypass surgery, friends tell BCM.
MacBrayne was considered a guru of center management, an executive who understood the numbers and sincerely cared about his employees. Many social-media posts in the wake of his passing have described him as a mentor and a father figure.
A cover story on MacBrayne appeared in the June 2022 issue of BCM as he was about to be honored as BPAA’s Proprietor of the Year. The September 2024 issue will include a remembrance.
