Francois Lavoie of Wichita, Kansas, joined John Young of Albuquerque as only the second member of an exclusive club when he won the 2024 New Mexico Open at Tenpins & More in Rio Rancho. Each bowler has now won the event twice and each in consecutive years (Young won in 2004 and 2005).
BowlStreamTV streamed the tournament, which saw the 24-lane Tenpins & More generate $35,600 for the 33rd week of the year in August — 38% more than the week prior and 34% more than the week after. Linage for the week totaled 4,283 games, including 467 in pre-tournament sweepers, 444 in the Pro-Am, 57 in a consolation event and 1,532 from the qualifying and match play segments.
