NATIONAL BOWLING DAY ‘DELAYED BY RAIN’

National Bowling Day was celebrated on Aug. 10, but due to inclement weather in New York City, Go Bowling’s “FOX & Friends” live broadcast segments were rescheduled to Aug. 31.

As a result, the concurrent free-game offer was extended through the end of September.

National Bowling Day was developed to provide a platform for those who love bowling to help raise awareness for the sport and bring consumers to the lanes just ahead of the new league season.

BPAA President Kevin Krauss appeared on “FOX & Friends,” inviting viewers to visit their local bowling center, while Bowlers to Veterans Link Chair Nancy Schenk presented a $100,000 donation to Patriot Point, a rehab and recovery retreat serving veterans and active-duty military personnel.

PBA Hall of Famer Norm Duke and youth bowler Malia Briggs were on hand to offer tips to the program’s hosts bowling on the regulation lanes installed outside the FOX News studios in Manhattan.
