TRIPLE SHIFT ADDS CENTERS IN OHIO AND ILLINOIS

Triple Shift Entertainment, the bowling center chain operated by Robby Spigner, is continuing to expand its footprint with the acquisition of three centers in Chicagoland and three more in the Columbus, Ohio, area.

Stardust Bowl, an 84-lane center in Addison, Illinois, is the largest center among a three-center purchase that also includes Classic Bowl in Morton Grove and Hillside Bowl in Hillside.

Triple Shift also acquired Gahanna Lanes in Gahanna, Holiday Lanes in Whitehall and Rule 3 in Pickerington, all in the Columbus, Ohio, metropolitan area.

“Rule 3 is an FEC model with limited leagues for now, but we’ll be working on changing that,” Spigner said. “The other two centers in Ohio and three in Chicagoland have long histories of strong league play, which we plan to build on.”

Spigner added that gaining a foothold in the Chicago area “means a lot to me because that’s where I grew up. I bowled in all of those centers.”

The Triple Shift company has now grown to 26 centers with approximately 1,000 lane beds and, most important to Spigner, between 21,000 and 22,000 league bowlers.

“Even as we grow, our focus will continue to be on taking care of our bowlers,” Spigner told BCM.
