NEW ‘STRIKES AGAIN’ FLOAT SET FOR MACY’S PARADE

Bowling will be back in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade as the 98th edition rolls through New York City next week, and Go Bowling has a new float premiering in the event.

The consumer-facing brand of the International Bowling Campus will unveil “Strikes Again,” a state-of-the-art float that showcases the sport’s enthusiasm and energy. The centerpiece of the float is a larger-than-life, animatronic bowler demonstrating her skills on the lane, with bowling elements and vibrant visuals surrounding her.

“Thanks to Macy’s design expertise, the float brings together the fun of bowling and the spirit of the holiday season in a unique way,” said John Harbuck, president of Strike Ten Entertainment. “Those watching the parade will be amazed by the float as it… reminds people during the holiday season that bowling is a fun, family-friendly activity to enjoy wherever they live.”

Added Jordan Dabby, producer of the parade: “We’re absolutely thrilled to team up with Go Bowling again as we roll out an all-new, exciting, action-packed float to this year’s parade. Millions of live spectators and viewers across the country are in for a spectacular treat as this high-energy float strikes its way through the heart of Manhattan this Thanksgiving.”

The partnership also affords bowling a platform to activate at the grassroots level by driving traffic into member centers and engaging fans and customers on social media.

“We are excited to support the parade partnership with a comprehensive digital marketing asset package for activation at more than 3,400-member centers,” said Harbuck. Digital assets promote the parade and a Macy’s Shopping Spree Sweepstakes that awards a $1,000 holiday shopping spree at Macy’s.

Go Bowling has been running contests all month across its social-media platforms, awarding followers limited-edition Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade bowling balls and pins.

The parade will air next Thursday in the U.S. on NBC and stream on Peacock. Check local listings for details.
