JACKPOT CLASSIC ‘WITH STRINGS’ SET

The third tournament under the Washington State BPA Jackpot Classic banner will see the first ball thrown on Friday, March 7, at the Grand Sierra Bowling Center in Reno.

The Jackpot Classic Empowered by QubicaAMF EDGE String Machines will make its debut with a minimum of 35 four-person teams bowling the team event that day, followed by singles and doubles competition on Saturday, March 8. An awards brunch on Sunday morning, March 9, will feature PBA champion and master of ceremonies Josh Blanchard.

Promoted as a “mini-vacation” over a short weekend period, the tournament joins the roster of two other events produced by the Washington State BPA. PWBA champions Stefanie Johnson and Clara Guerrero are scheduled to appear in Reno.

Then from June 3-6, the 29th annual WSBPA Jackpot Classic will be held at The Orleans Hotel Casino’s bowling center in Las Vegas. Since its inception in 1996, more than $3 million in prize money has been awarded.

The third event in the Jackpot Classic trilogy is the Jackpot Classic “At Sea,” a week-long celebrity cruise staged on Norwegian Cruise Lines, sailing the Caribbean. The inaugural “At Sea” tournament on New Year’s Eve 2023 featured PBA champion Kyle Troup, British Bowler of the Year Verity Crawley and PBA Hall of Famer Amleto Monacelli.
