DEADLINE FOR 25K FREWING SCHOLARSHIP JUST DAYS AWAY

Only days remain for high school seniors who are children or grandchildren of bowling proprietors to submit their applications for the 2025 Daroll and Dolores Frewing Scholarship — the richest scholarship in bowling.

The Frewings, founders of US Bowling Corporation, have awarded five $25,000 scholarships to date: 2020 — Andrew Amore; 2021 — Avery Schenk; 2022 — Emma McCrary; 2023 — Aaliyah Friend; and 2024 — Azia Martin.

The 2025 honoree will:

• Be awarded a $25,000 scholarship to be used for their post-high school education.

• Receive a trip to International Bowl Expo in Washington, D.C., where they’ll be brought up on stage to accept their award and say a few words of thanks.

• Appear on the cover of the August issue of BCM and be the subject of an extensive feature story.

• Be added to the ongoing Daroll and Dolores Frewing Scholarship exhibit at the International Bowling Museum and Hall of Fame in Arlington, Texas.

• Be added to the perpetual list of Frewing scholarship recipients that appears each January in the annual Almanac section of BCM.

Applications are available on the IBMHOF website (bowlingmuseum.com) and must be submitted no later than April 10.
