The Bowlers to Veterans Link has announced that two-time PBA Tour champion Packy Hanrahan of Wichita, Kansas, will be the second tour advocate for BVL.
Hanrahan, also a member of Team USA, joins EJ Tackett in the BVL role.
Hanrahan will use his status as a tour champion and his position as one of bowling’s top social-media influencers to help raise awareness of BVL, which is the official charity of the PBA. Hanrahan said he looks forward to joining Tackett in an effort to help what is referred to as bowling’s first charity.
“When I was asked to be a part of BVL, I was excited to partner up and help promote such an impactful organization,” Hanrahan said. “I’ve had several family members and friends that have served in all branches of the military, and being able to help and show gratitude to those who have served was something that I didn’t have to think twice about. I’m excited to start this new partnership with BVL and continue to grow and promote the Bowlers to Veterans Link.”
Noted BVL Chairperson Nancy Schenk: “We’re excited for Packy to join BVL, using his passion for the sport and his influential social-media platforms to connect with the next generation, ensuring the message of support and gratitude for veterans continues to inspire and grow.”
