Gamescape by Cinemark has been announced as the anchor tenant of The Crossroads in Omaha, Nebraska. This comes on the heels of the first Gamescape opening in El Paso, Texas.
“We have been excited to share this tenant and there’s nothing like it in the area,” said Jeff Woodbury, senior vice president of development and acquisitions at Woodbury Corporation, in a media release. “It’s the perfect first tenant that will set the tone for the rest of The Crossroads project.”
Plans call for bowling, laser tag and an arcade to be part of the entertainment mix, as well as a restaurant. The Crossroads is envisioned as a rebirth and expansion of Omaha’s once-vibrant Crossroads Mall, a project that has experienced multiple starts and stops for 15 years.
The multi-use development also will include condos, and the city has committed to building three parking garages to accommodate tenants and visitors. A retail element also is planned, but no tenants have been announced.
