Rafael “Rafi” Carrion, a pioneering figure in the bowling industry, passed away on July 7.

Carrion played a central role in the creation and operation of the iconic Galaxy Lanes, a state-of-the-art five-center chain that redefined the bowling experience in Florida. His visionary thinking helped modernize the industry, blending entertainment and sport in ways that shaped the future of centers nationwide.
More than a businessman, Carrion was a passionate promoter of the game, a generous supporter of professionals and youth bowlers, and a man who believed in building places where families and communities could connect.
His impact on the bowling community is immeasurable, and his influence will continue to be felt for generations to come.
