FIRE HYDRANT CAPITAL TO GET A NEW FEC

The community of Albertville, Alabama, is known as the “Fire Hydrant Capital of the World” because it’s the home of hydrant manufacturer Mueller Company. Earlier this year, Mueller marked its 50th anniversary and produced hydrant No. 5 million.

Next year, Mueller employees and other residents of Albertville, which is located about an hour southeast of Huntsville, will have a new place to gather for fun and food.

Alleyway Entertainment will feature 20 bowling lanes, bumper cars, a laser tag arena, an arcade, golf simulators, a restaurant and more.

The 30,000-square-foot facility is being developed by Don Spurlin, who broke ground on June 24, and an opening sometime in 2026 is being targeted.
