After a six month search, Frank Desocio has been named the new Executive Director of the Bowling Proprietors’ Association of America (BPAA). This announcement was made after the last BPAA board of directors meeting, held at the Eldorado Hotel and Casino in Reno, Nevada. Desocio will replace previous Executive Director, Steve Johnson, who resigned last October.
“BPAA is very pleased to name Frank as Executive Director,” said Tom Martino, BPAA president-elect. “His bowling, sales and marketing background, as well as extensive industry contacts, will be a great asset to the board of directors as he continues to advance BPAA’s mission of increasing the profitability of its members as well as continue to enhance BPAA’s relationships with our state and local associations and our industry partners.”
Desocio’s is currently the president and proprietor of Strike Ten Entertainment (STE) in Wichita, Kansas. STE is a network of 2,100+ of the most progressive bowling proprietors throughout the United States, whose mission is to “ensure that potential partners fit the needs and expectations of bowling proprietors on a national and local basis by promoting bowling in a positive manner.”
The multi-layered, six-month, extensive nationwide search concluded with Frank being named the new ED of the BPAA, the selection committee is comprised of these industry leaders:

Desocio will officially assume his new position on July 1, 2014.
