Frank DeSocio steps down as President of Strike Ten Entertainment

Earlier this year, we ran a piece announcing Frank DeSocio, owner of Strike Ten Entertainment, as the new Executive Director of the BPAA. It has now been announced (and expected) that he will now step down as President of Strike Ten Entertainment. STE is a Wichita-based network of 2,100+ of the most progressive bowling proprietors around the country whose mission is to “ensure that potential partners fit the needs and expectations of bowling proprietors on a national and local basis by promoting bowling in a positive manner.” DeSocio spent the past 13 years serving as President.

“On behalf of Strike Ten Entertainment, we are extremely grateful for the amazing exposure, partnerships and programs Frank DeSocio has facilitated for our member centers and the entire bowling industry in his more than a decade of service,” Anthony Perrone, chairman of the Strike Ten board of directors said. “The board is excited to have a strong and well-respected leader in John Harbuck step in to lead Strike Ten, and we look forward to a successful second-half of the year as a search for the permanent president progresses.”

STE board of directors named John Harbuck, STE’s vice-president of activation and fulfillment, as interim president effective as of today.

“I am honored the board has the confidence in me to lead Strike Ten during the search process,” said Harbuck, “With the great team and strong programs for 2014 in place, we will have some outstanding months ahead servicing our members.”

The STE board will begin to conduct a national search for a new president and are accepting applications through Aug. 15.
