Harrison McCoy, who opened McBowl in Liberty, Mo., with his brothers, Ted and Melvin, in 1958, passed away on March 29. He was 93.
The family operated the center until 1987, completing nearly three decades of providing a safe hang-out for teenagers and a place where people could develop life-long friends.
On the culinary side of things, McBowl was known for its 300 Burger — a menu item that lives on at the rechristened Retro Bowl, where it’s called “Our Famous 300 Burger.”
