Before the PBA50 Tour took over Harvest Park Bowl in Brentwood, Calif., Walter Ray Williams Jr. got married on Saturday.

Fancy Allen and Walter Ray Williams Jr. exchanged wedding vows on Saturday in Lincoln, Calif.
Nicknamed “GOAT” by his fellow players — the acronym standing for “Greatest Of All-Time” — Williams married Francesca “Fancy” Allen at the Orchard Creek Lodge in Lincoln, Calif.
The outdoor ceremony, with a bucolic golf course background, was followed by dinner, dancing and toasting inside.
A number of Williams’ contemporaries — including Amleto Monacelli, Bob Learn Jr., Michael Haugen Jr. and Bryan Goebel — were in attendance. Also on hand was PBA Senior and Regional Director John Weber, PBA Tour staffer Janay Haggerty (along with her husband P.J. and their twins), USBC Hall of Fame member Elaine Hagin, and numerous other luminaries.
During the reception, Williams revealed that he wasn’t the only member of his family who was proficient at horseshoes, noting that his brothers also were world-class players.
In addition to dinner, guests were treated to a selection of cupcakes including one that tasted like an apple Jolly Rancher — which counted as two fruit servings, we confirmed with the couple.
