Candlepin bowling will be returning to the city where it was invented — Worcester, Mass. — thanks to developers who have purchased several contiguous buildings along a downtown city block.
The candlepin installation is targeted for what was a concert venue known at various times as Sir Morgan’s Cove, The Lucky Dog Music Hall and The Cove Music Hall, and an opening sometime in 2021 is anticipated. The venue was known primarily as a welcoming host for local and regional bands, but occasionally hosted national and international acts, including the Rolling Stones.
