More than 1,200 students from 25 schools took part in the first-ever Nebraska High School Bowling Championships, which took place at Sun Valley Lanes in Lincoln.
The Nebraska School Activities Association oversaw the event, and worked closely with the Lincoln-Lancaster Health Department to establish COVID-19 protocols, which included limiting spectators to family members.
Meanwhile, in Vermont, high school bowling matches are taking place virtually.
Team members roll their individual games on Mondays and Baker-style games on Wednesdays at their home centers. The scores are then matched up with those of their opponents over the weekend and the winners revealed.
