Fans of the Professional Women’s Bowling Association Tour know Missy Parkin as the 2011 USBC Queens champion and winner of more than 40 medals as a member of Team USA and Junior Team USA.
Bowlers in Southern California know Parkin and her husband, Drew, as the owners of multiple pro shops.
And now, the Parkins have joined forces with Alex Mann to purchase Mira Mesa Lanes in San Diego.
Earlier, it had been announced that Mira Mesa and its sister center, Kearny Mesa Lanes, would be closing for good as a result of prolonged closure of centers mandated by the state of California due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
But on Monday, the Parkins used Facebook Live to announce the acquisition of Mira Mesa, a 44-lane center known for its strong league business and youth program. You can view their announcement on Missy Parkin’s Facebook page.
With the acquisition of Mira Mesa Lanes and its pro shop, the Parkins now own 12 pro shops in Southern California.
