Bowling center owners don’t hear the words “thank you” perhaps as often as they should, but they’ve been hearing them a lot as they re-open their centers following long closures.
That was the experience of Laura Belschner, who has resurrected Florida’s Port St. Lucie Lanes and rechristened it Lucie Lanes.
The previous owner, a South Florida owner, had chosen not to reopen the facility, and the new owner of the shopping plaza in which the center is located was looking for someone to take over the lease. That’s how the deal came together.
“People said thank you for opening it,” Belschner told TC Palm. “That’s been a super amazing thing to me, just to be part of that.”
