Bowl Incline in Incline Village, Nev., will have been closed for a year by the time it reopens in December after new owners have completed a major renovation project.

Those owners, Steve and Tracy Tomkovicz, loved bowling at the center when on vacation in the Lake Tahoe region. When they learned last fall that the center was for sale, they decided to take the plunge.

Their goal is to give residents and visitors to the North Shore a viable and reliable entertainment destination after the sun goes down. Among the options they’ve considered for their renovation are axe throwing, bocce, rock climbing and live music.

Meanwhile, Steve Tomkovicz has caught the eye of locals by regularly changing the messages on the center’s marquee with pithy observations such as: “Incline housing prices are higher than Willie Nelson.”
