The Charlotte, N.C., metropolitan area now has its second outpost of the growing Spare Time Entertainment company.
Spare Time’s Roger Philipi, recipient of the V.A. Wapensky Award at Bowl Expo in Louisville, said the 50,000-sq.-ft. venue in Pineville features bowling, laser tag, an arcade, escape rooms and restaurants.
It occupies a former Dick’s Sporting Goods store location, and while in the works since 2018, it was delayed by the pandemic.
“We always wanted to come to this side of town because it’s growing, and it’s full of energy and business growth,” Philipi told WCNC. “And it’s real pro-small business, so we thought we would find a location down this way.”
