Cinergy Group Entertainment once again conducted its annual Thanksgiving Food Drive.
The Dallas-based company operates seven luxury cinema and entertainment centers in Texas and Oklahoma.
Focusing on those states, Cinergy had donated more than five tons of food to community food banks through 2020. It offers guests at any Cinergy location a choice of a $5 game card or a free popcorn in exchange for two canned food items (with a limit of two offers per person). This year, the offer ran Nov. 4-28.
“We are grateful to have the opportunity to help fight hunger in our communities and make the holidays a little better for the struggling families around us,” said Traci Hoey, Cinergy’s Vice President of Marketing.
Hoey added that the goal this year was to provide more than 5,000 meals for people in need in the two states.
A feature on the Cynergy location in Amarillo, Texas, will appear in the January issue of BCM.
