The 16th annual High 5 Teams Championship tournament runs this month at Tenpins & More in Rio Rancho, N.M.

This is a no-cost event for the highest league average bowlers in New Mexico member centers that choose to participate. There’s a prize-fund of $4,000 and trophies to the winning teams in both men’s and women’s divisions.

Aside from the pride of representing one’s home center, the tournament provides bragging rights to the winners, decided by Petersen points over a full day of head-to-head competition.

The host center also gains linage fees paid by the state BPA, in addition to food and beverage sales during the day.

Already slated for 2023 host duties is Artesia Lanes in the southeast part of the vast state. Future hosts are chosen from member centers that attend state meetings.
