Former big-box stores aren’t the only spaces being transformed into bowling centers.
In Belfast, Ireland, a former office complex, which saw occupancy decline during the pandemic, will be converted into a 16-lane center called Apollo Bowling, if plans are approved.
Other amenities would include a licensed restaurant, indoor golf area, children’s soft play, virtual reality and arcade games.
Meanwhile, in Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada, bowling lanes would be included in a proposed residential development. Plans call for 401 units, an off-leash dog run, commercial space, fitness room and virtual golf in addition to the lanes. Ironclad Developments is the company behind the project.
