ILLINOIS COMMUNITY GETS ITS BOWLING CENTER BACK

The residents of Rantoul, Ill., are looking forward to getting their old bowling alley back.

The former Country Tyme Lanes is being renamed after the new owners’ dog, Rugers, and undergoing renovations that include upgraded restrooms, a remodeled bar and the addition of a handicap-accessible ramp.

At the same time, Aaron and Cindy Tuller are working to preserve the center’s nostalgic feel for the people who bowled there, some since its opening in 1964.

The Tullers have already partially opened the building for junior leagues, and plan add an indoor batting cage and an arcade.
