BOWL PLACED ON COLORADO’S ‘MOST ENDANGERED PLACES’ LIST

Victor Bowling Alley in the community of Victor has been added to the list of Colorado’s “Most Endangered Places.”

Also new to the list are the Costilla County mission churches in the San Luis Valley, the Kit Carsen Museum Complex in Bent County, the Valmont School in Boulder County, the Zuni steam power plant in Denver County, the 4 Bar 4 Ranch in Grand County, the Paris Mill in Park County and the 16th Street Mall in downtown Denver.

Victor Bowling Alley opened as a grocery store in 1900 and was converted into a four-lane bowling facility in the 1930s — and it still has its original manual pinsetters.

Stephen and Bee Morgan bought the bowl in 2020 and say they hope to restore it and create a family-friendly entertainment spot.
