When Bed, Bath & Beyond closed all of its stores, it left a big vacant space in the Crossroads Festival Shopping Center at the corner of Grant Road and Swan Road in Tucson, Arizona.
That space has now been filled by a new concept from Roadhouse Cinemas. It’s called Roadies Lanes + Games + Gastropub, and it includes mini movie theaters, a restaurant, a bar, laser tag, axe throwing, arcades and live music on select nights. It also includes Brunswick’s Spark Augmented Reality Bowling.
As malls across the country continue to be redefined by developers dealing with vast abandoned spaces, Japan-based Round 1 Bowling and Arcade has been signed to take over a large footprint at The Shops at Skyview in Flushing, New York.
The mall also is adding a Sky Zone Trampoline Park. Combined, the two entertainment venues will encompass 150,000 square feet.
Meanwhile, in Jacksonville, Florida, Elev8 Fun Indoor Adventure Park has been named to replace a former Forever 21 clothing store in the Avenues Mall.
Bowling, laser tag, go-karts, a ropes course and arcade games will be part of the attraction mix.
