Pop’N Pins, a 12-lane center in Preston, Idaho, about an hour south of Pocatello near the Utah border, has been saved by Sawyer Hemsley of Hemsley Ventures.
According to Tana Checketts, who manages the facility with her husband, Chad, Hemsley purchased the center to prevent it from closing, citing its importance to the community.
According to The News-Examiner, former owner Delra Talbot operated Pop’N Pins Lanes for several years before selling it but later repurchased the business. Recently, he decided to retire.
With the new investment, the center’s roof recently was replaced to solve an ongoing leak problem, and new house shoes and balls have been ordered.
The center’s foodservice has a distinctly Hawaiian flavor, including dishes such as chicken katsu, kalua pork and spam musubi.
