The 77th Indiana Bowling Centers Association Annual Meeting is shaping up to be both educational and informative.
USBC Hall of Fame member Brian Waliczek of Western Bowling Proprietors Insurance will be speaking on the topic of the need for emergency action plans. The importance of planning ahead for unforeseen circumstances such as an active shooter, robbery, weather emergencies and even dealing with customer conflicts can’t be overstated, as Waliczek will discuss.
Another USBC Hall of Famer, Tim Mack of Tim Mack Victory Lane Pro Shops in Indianapolis, will be talking about his life experiences in the sport — from bowling with royalty to championing PBA Elite teams to owning and managing multiple pro shops.
During the awards dinner, the association will celebrate employees and associates that have provided the greatest impact to their bowling center operations. Also, the newest IBCA Hall of Fame member will be recognized with the Hy Delman Award.
All of that is set to take place on May 19 at Crystal Coop in Anderson, Indiana. On the 20th, there will be a boot camp for bowling pro shops at Championship Lanes, also in Anderson. Peter Somoff of Peter Somoff Pro Shops and Tim Mack will cover all aspects of building a successful pro shop.
