MAPLE FAMILY CENTERS GOES OVER $1 MILLION IN BVL SUPPORT

Earlier this year, Maple Family Centers achieved its goal of surpassing the $1 million mark in donations for veterans’ charities.

The LaSpina family, owners of Maple Family Centers, hosted a celebratory event on Feb. 4 at Maple Lanes RVC in Rockville Centre to mark the major milestone. Veterans, bowlers and dignitaries joined members of the LaSpina family as they presented the latest fundraising dollars to the Bowlers to Veterans Link.

Maple, a small family-owned business, entered its 65th anniversary year in September 2025 having raised $911,000 for BVL. The company launched a “Race to the Million” campaign with the goal of surpassing the $1 million threshold during its milestone fiscal year. Maple crossed the finish line in January, several months ahead of schedule.

Funds raised for BVL by Maple are directed to veterans’ organizations in New York and Florida, which are home to the company’s five bowling centers.

Maple has raised funds in various ways, including hosting bowling tournaments and other fundraisers and donating the proceeds. The company has also engaged its customers in supporting BVL through checkout round-up campaigns and by incentivizing customer donations with free-game coupons, merchandise and matching contributions.

“Our bowlers have enthusiastically joined us in the cause and have given very generously to help make a difference in the lives of our heroes,” John LaSpina said.
