The Bowling Centers Association of Wisconsin has significantly expanded its Scholarship Program for 2027, increasing each scholarship award from $1,000 to $2,500.
Beginning with the 2027 awards, BCAW will present five $2,500 scholarships. Three scholarships will be awarded to current employees of BCAW-member bowling centers or their immediate family members, while two scholarships will go to current USBC Youth members who bowl in a BCAW-member center. Graduating high school seniors or individuals with a post-high school diploma or equivalent who are under age 22 as of Feb. 26, 2027, are eligible to apply. The application deadline is Feb. 26, 2027, with scholarships scheduled to be awarded in spring 2027.
The 2026 BCAW Center Employee Scholarship recipients were Nathan Bliss (RiversEdge Bowl, Janesville); Austin Connaher (The Ashwaubenon Bowling Alley, Green Bay); Kasey Hughes (Dale’s Weston Lanes, Weston); and Ava Wornardt (King Pin Lanes, Campbellsport). Abby Schleicher (Lakeshore Lanes, Sheboygan) received the 2026 BCAW USBC Youth Scholarship.
Funding for the scholarship program is provided through the annual BCAW Scholarship Golf Fundraiser Tournament.
Established in 1995, the program has awarded approximately $140,000 in scholarships to students pursuing education beyond high school.
