You can now nominate a proprietor for one of the industry’s most respected awards. The 2013 BPAA Bowling Industry Service Awards nominations are now open to participants. The selections are as follows,
Victor Lerner Memorial Medal
Presented to proprietor for a lifetime of selfless service to the industry; highest honor in the bowling industry and represents induction into the BPAA Hall of Fame in Arlington, Texas. The award is named after BPAA President Victor Lerner.
President’s Medal
Presented to individual (proprietor-manager) who has given exceptional support and/or made significant contributions to the association in the eyes of the current BPAA President and the Awards committee.
V. A. Wapensky Award
Presented to individual who has made major contributions to the advancement of the bowling industry. Named after long time BPAA Executive Director V. A. “Chief” Wapensky.
Ruben A. Dankoff Award for Public Policy and Legislative Service
Presented to a proprietor or bowling industry leader provides outstanding voluntary service on the federal, state or local governmental levels in the development of legislation, public policy initiatives, or other political efforts, which benefit BPAA members, the BPAA itself, or the bowling industry as a whole.
Dick Weber Bowling Ambassador Award
In memory of Hall of Fame pro bowler Dick Weber, who was bowling’s global ambassador, who elevated the image of bowling and promoted the game and sport of bowling to all ages on and off the lanes. Presented to a bowling athlete, male or female, who has consistently shown grace on and off the bowling lanes by promoting the game and sport of bowling in a positive manner.
Special Projects Awards
Presented to an individual(s) who recognizing their efforts and contribution on a particular special BPAA and/or bowling project.
BPAA Media Award
Presented to a national and/or local, non-bowling industry media representative who, through either print or electronic media, made significant contributions to furthering the sport and business of bowling.
