Breast Cancer Awareness: Tiger Lanes hosts annual Bowling for Boobies

For Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Tiger Lanes of Alexandria, Louisiana, Busted Foundation and the local chapter of the Susan G. Komen Foundation hosted its annual “Bowling for Boobies” bowling event. The event intends to raise money for Breast Cancer, raise awareness of the disease and to celebrate those who have survived and remember those who have not.

The charity bowling event raises money for the local chapter of the Susan G. Komen Foundation.

The  mission of the event is to organize teams of six, who set a goal of fundraising $1,000 per person to support women who are fighting breast cancer. The teams then get together, submit their earnings and partake in bowling.

*To date, the grant disbursements have exceeded $250,000 from funds generated at all Bowling for Boobies events since 2004.*

The funds help provide monetary assistance to women in local areas who experience financial complications resulting from fighting and living with breast cancer. Along with bowling, participants and spectators can decorate a bowling pin in honor of someone who has battled or is battling cancer as well as a silent auction and “pink” store.
