Starbucks Coffee Company founding president, Howard Behar, was announced as this year’s “Thought Leader” keynote speaker for the 2014 Bowling Proprietors’ Association of America Bowling Summit. The event will be held on January 18 – 21, 2014 at the Omni San Diego Hotel in San Diego, California. The BPAA Bowling Summit is an annual strategic mid-winter conference for bowling center proprietors, managers and industry leaders. Past keynote speakers have included Olympic Gold Medal swimmer Rowdy Gaines and Pepsi-Co’s John Ross.

Behar, who will be speaking on Tuesday, January 21, 2014 from 10:15 – 11:45 AM will be based on his book, “It’s Not About the Coffee”, about his top ten leadership principles. The founder of one of the most influential brands in the country – expanding from 28 stores to over 15,000, spanning in over five continents – has over 50 years of leadership in business experience to give. He also served on the Starbucks Board of Directors for twelve years before retiring.
