October is National Learn To Bowl Month and BPAA member centers have an opportunity to introduce new people to the sport, as a part of a national endeavor to help advance fall league membership, and earn a chance to win a share of $10,000 in cash and prizes! This October, every member center is encouraged to direct a learn to bowl program using Bowling 2.0, and migrate participants into a short season program to start by November 1st. Mid-August and mid-September are peak season for fall league recruitment, which makes October the perfect time for your center to receive new bowlers to fill spots in your leagues.
Member centers will be divided into three divisions, based on lane size: under 16 lanes, 16-24 lanes, and 25 lanes or more. The top five centers in each division will be awarded cash prizes of $250 (5th & 4th place), $500 (3rd), $750 (2nd), and $1,00 (1st). Winners will be determined by the amount of new members “per lane” that roll over from the Bowling 2.0 program this month.
The top winning center will win a party for its staff and new league members as well as a visit from Bowling 2.0 instructor Carolyn Dorin-Ballard for onsite coaching during the league session. The winning center can use the prize money as they wish.
