OREGON, WASHINGTON CENTERS BEGIN THE ROAD BACK

Although the pandemic claimed two local centers — Wilsonville Lanes in Wilsonville, and Kellogg Bowl in Milwaukie — bowling is now back in Oregon’s Portland metropolitan area.

Under guidelines mandated by the state, centers could operate at 25% capacity or 50 people, whichever number was smaller. When it comes to the state directives, bowling centers are in the same category as movie theaters and skating rinks.

Centers also have been reopening in Washington, and that state’s governor even moved up the date so restaurants and other businesses could benefit from Valentine’s Day.
