The United States Bowling Congress Board of Directors has approved a series of governance policy amendments for next season.
They include an increase in the number of Team USA athletes on the USBC Board of Directors to meet new requirements from the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Committee. USBC received approval from USOPC to expand its definition of a Team USA athlete eligible for board service to include team members who earned their status through the USBC Team USA Trials.
Other amendments impact youth governance, including limiting USBC Adult membership to those 18 and older. It’s designed to better align with U.S. Center for SafeSport policies related to adult and minor participation.
