The strategy of Bowlero Corp. to acquire multiple locations in specific market areas has now found its way to Milwaukee.
Bowlero has signed definitive agreements to acquire JB’s on 41 in Milwaukee, as well as the 48-lane Super Bowl Family Entertainment Center in Appleton and the 48-lane Sabre Lanes in Menasha.
Bowlero’s business in Wisconsin now includes five locations, including AMF West Lanes in Milwaukee and Bowlero Wauwatosa.
In announcing the acquisitions, Bowlero called JB’s on 41 a premier location that’s both nationally and locally ranked. It includes 35 modern bowling lanes, 10 luxury lanes, 40 arcade games, sand volleyball courts, a bar and a restaurant. The center opened in 1957, a year after automatic pinsetters came into widespread use, and was dubbed Olympic Recreation. It operated as a “traditional” center through most of its history, but underwent a significant reinvention when it was acquired by David Bardon in 2002.
Bowlero also said it was acquiring Strikes Unlimited in Rocklin, Calif., near Sacramento.
