The iPic Theater, Pinstrike bowling center and Big Daddy’s Brew + Que restaurant opened to great acclaim in the Milwaukee area’s Glendale mixed-use development.
But as retail shops fled the complex, foot traffic declined and the theater/bowling/dining concept ultimately was forced to close in 2018.
Now, as developers work to revive the site, a similar concept is returning to the abandoned space. ACX Cinemas is expected to open above Glendale’s rotunda next summer, accompanied by gaming, bowling and a full-service bar and restaurant called Backlot Pizza + Kitchen featuring Detroit-style pizza and a full menu.
When the revitalization of Bayshore began, Target and Total Wine were among the initial tenants and they remain in operation today.
