Roger Philipi has departed Bowl New England and Spare Time Entertainment to join the management team at Triple Shift Entertainment as chief operations officer. Philipi is uniquely qualified for his new position, having benefited from the mentorship of three highly respected operators: John Davis Sr.,Mark Voight and the Corley family.
“We’re exceptionally excited to have Roger join Triple Shift Entertainment,” said Robby Spigner, the company’s founder. “He shares a deeply rooted passion for bowling and brings operational expertise to help us continue expanding.”
TSE recently acquired centers in Arizona and Texas, bringing its total portfolio to 15 — 11 traditional bowling centers, five family entertainment centers and one unique bowling and special events center with an attached Wyndham hotel.
Philipi had a rare opportunity to be a “secret shopper” at each of the TSE locations before he was introduced as the new COO. He said it “wasn’t a ‘gotcha’ thing, but rather an opportunity to identify opportunities” at each venue.
Philipi said he had not yet decided where he’ll put down residential roots. “I’m a field guy, and our centers are spread out,” he said. “So that’s something we’ll figure out.”
