Lori Mraz, who has been with Turbo 2-N-1 Grips since the company’s founding in 1991 and currently serves as its director of marketing, has been named executive director of the Billiard and Bowling Institute of America. She succeeds Barb Peltz, who served the BBIA over the last two years during its time of transition.
Mraz was a member of the BBIA Board of Directors from 2003 to 2008 and its president in 2007. During her tenure, she helped develop the meeting matrix that maximizes the time industry manufacturers and distributors spend together.
She is vice chair of the International Bowling Museum and Hall of Fame Board of Trustees, a position she has held since 2008, and served on the International Bowling Pro Shop and Instructors Association Advisory Board from 2005 to 2009.
“Lori Mraz brings a rare combination of experience, knowledge and passion that will serve the association well as she assumes the role of executive director,” said BBIA President Mark Buffa of Buffa Distribution.
